I’m am 15 and looking to start shooting private films and want to know what kind of camcorder would be best for the movies.I have actors for this but need a good camera for it! Any help would be appreciated! 
(p.s. dont try to convince me making movies isn’t worth your time because enough people on here have already told me that and I am still going to be a movie director!)
I am under 18, a male, I love video games, music, film making, etc.
I have a few years of experience with film making, and have used a variety of cameras (including a Canon GL-2, Sony HD cameras etc). However, I no longer have access to these cameras. Any suggestions for a camera around or under 500$? I don’t know whether to look at mini-DV, digital, or if I should get a camera like a DSLR (I’m trying to get into photography as well). Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

I am thinking about going to the Art Institute of Cincinnati for a degree in digital film-making and video production. The first thing I noticed was the EXPENSIVE cost of tuition, and I couldn’t get much information about the alumni. I would appreciate advice from people that have gone to the Art Institute or have any information that could help me decide if going to the Art Institute would be worth my time and money, or are the Art Institutes a big scam.
Also What programs would you suggest? I am a extreme novice when it comes to film making so I need all the help I can get. Are there any websites that you would recommend for someone starting a video production hobby? Thanks
