I am going to college soon and am majoring in criminal justice, but have always had a really keen interest in movies, especially making one or writing the story for one…however I want to read a book or two about these things to see if it is really for me. Do you guys/gals know of any good books/textbooks that would help teach me a thing or two about the subject? Thanks!

I really want to learn as much on film making as I can. I was going to sign up for a class at a nearby college but missed the deadline. I wanted to know if there was a book goes over as many aspects of film making as possible. I need to know more about sound, lighting and lenses.
