Can one become a director without studying films/theatre or anything related to films? And what if he holds good knowledge about film making and some experience. No matter how far he goes in term of quality.
I already have a camera, tripod and a green screen. I need some microphones and maybe some lighting tools. I am only 13, so it can’t be to much money.
Also if there are any good film making video cameras, you can tell me them.
PS. if you need to know this, the camera i use is a panasonic mini dv (im pretty sure) and the editing tools i use are imovie and old imovie.
I have absolutely no history in film-making, nor do I have an educational background in film-making. Oh yeah, and on top of all that, I don’t have any degree in writing. All I have is a very well thought-out script and a creative/vivid imagination. Also, I really do think I’m really good at what I do.
Do you think a film production company would accept my script even though I have no history related to the business of film-making?
i am interested in starting film making and was wondering what the best camcorder is, i am looking to purchase one off eBay as i cant afford any fancy makes. i would be grateful if any one could give me any suggestions,
cheers.
Queen’s Gambit by The Easy Tigers. This film was made as part of the V48 hour film festival 2010 which is held in New Zealand every year. Over 600 teams entered this year. Basically we had to plan, shoot and cut a short film in 48 hours after being given a random genre (sports movie) and 4 random elements. Character: Sidney Manson, a fabricator Prop: A broken toy Line: “When you look at it that way” Camera technique: Dolly Zoom So here it is!
